Book Signing with Robert Ernest
I love watching kids get excited about books. Not tablets. Not phones. Actual books. You can always tell when a story grabs them because they stop wandering around the store and suddenly they’re flipping pages, laughing at pictures, pointing things out, and wanting to see more. That’s exactly why I’m excited about this event.
On Saturday, June 27, we’ll be welcoming Kentucky children’s author Robert Ernest to The Kentucky Bookstore from 11 AM to 2 PM for a special signing featuring his children’s books. These books are colorful, funny, creative, and full of energy. The covers alone will pull kids straight over to the table. They’ve got that fun, goofy, playful feel that children’s books are supposed to have. And honestly, I think kids need more of that again.
I’ve always believed reading starts with making books feel fun first—no schoolwork, no assignments. Just fun. When kids meet an author in person, it changes something. Suddenly books feel real to them. The characters feel real. The imagination behind it feels real.
And I’ll always support Kentucky authors doing that right here in our own state. So bring the kids. Bring the grandkids. Come meet Robert Ernest, get some signed books, and let kids discover stories that might just make them fall in love with reading.
