Book Signing with Joseph Crabtree

Some books don’t have to scream to stay with you. They just quietly remind you of things you forgot you missed.

On Saturday, June 20, we’ll be welcoming Kentucky author Joseph Crabtree to The Kentucky Bookstore from 11 AM to 2 PM for a signing featuring his book, The Kite.

And honestly… this book feels like childhood. The artwork alone stopped me the first time I saw it. It has this soft, peaceful feeling to it that just makes you want to pick the book up and sit with it awhile.

And the story carries that same feeling. It reminds me of the kind of books people keep long after they read them. The kind grandparents pull back off the shelf years later to read with grandkids. The kind that quietly becomes part of a family.

I love bringing in Kentucky authors because there are so many good stories being written right here in this state that people may never discover otherwise. Sometimes all a book needs is somebody willing to put it in front of readers and say, “Hey… this one’s special.”
