Book Signing with Wes Blake

There’s just something fun about discovering an author BEFORE everybody else does.

On Saturday, June 13, we’re bringing Kentucky author Wes Blake to The Kentucky Bookstore for a signing of his debut novel, Pineville Trace, from 11 AM to 2 PM.

And this book? It’s not your typical small-town Kentucky novel.

The first thing that grabbed me was the artwork. It has this strange vintage collage style that makes you stop and look twice. Then you start flipping through the book and realize… okay, this is REALLY different.

It feels mysterious, artistic, a little surreal… almost like stepping into somebody’s dream after they drank too much coffee at 2 a.m. in an old movie theater.

Honestly, those are the books I love finding the most. The ones that don’t look or feel like everything else sitting on the shelf.

I also love seeing new authors take that leap and put their work out into the world. That first book is a big deal. Every well-known writer started exactly here… one story, one signing, one reader at a time.

So if you like unusual fiction, cool artwork, creative storytelling, or just meeting Kentucky authors before everybody else catches on… come see us Saturday.
