We’re excited to welcome Kentucky children’s author Carol June Franks to The Kentucky Bookstore for a special book signing in Downtown Lawrenceburg on Saturday, October 24, from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
Carol June Franks is a retired educator, literacy specialist, and Kentucky author whose books are created to be loved by children and enjoyed by the adults reading with them. Her stories are known for their rhythm, strong read-aloud feel, and the way they blend imagination, nature, and family-centered storytelling.
We’ll have copies of What Farm Boots Are For and her new release, A Patient Hunter: The Alligator Snapping Turtle available at the signing. What Farm Boots Are For follows a young girl’s playful farm adventures, while A Patient Hunter explores the underwater world of an alligator snapping turtle and brings in a fun nature-learning element for young readers.
